I. MEMBERSHIP AND AIMS<\/p>\n
Par. 1<\/p>\n
(1) The INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR HISTORY DIDACTICS is a professional association of those concerned with the initial and in-service training of history teachers.<\/p>\n
(1a) The aim of the Association is to work exclusively for the common good.*<\/p>\n
(2) The Society’s purpose is to advance the study of history didactics as a scholarly discipline by means of the mutual exchange of bibliographical information, research findings, ideas about the subject, teaching materials, syllabuses and any other relevant information.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Par. 2<\/p>\n
The aims of the Society will be accomplished principally by means of projects. Such projects can be:
\n(a) conferences with various objectives; some might be organised on a regional basis;
\n(b) the publication of communications and contributions to a scholarly periodical which offers space to the Society;
\n(c) the publication of an international bibliography of publications, curricula and teaching materials;
\n(d) the publication of an International Handbook for History Didactics;
\n(e) international exchanges particularly amongst the younger generation of those involved in the training of history teachers;
\n(f) the negotiation of international collaboration between the institutions of participating countries, including the exchange and joint development of teaching projects;
\n(g) the establishment of a centre for documentation;
\n(h) co-operation in the development of national and regional groups for the study of history didactics;
\n(i) stimulation of and support for research projects concerned with history didactics.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Par. 3<\/p>\n
(1) In order to realise is aims, the Society seeks to collaborate with academic institutions. It will strive to secure the necessary resources for the implementation of its projects, and it hopes to enlist the aid of is members in framing proposals for financial support.<\/p>\n
(2) It seeks co-operation with professional associations, with international institutions of learning and with relevant government departments in improving research and the initial and in-service training of teachers in all sectors of higher education, while also advancing history teaching in schools and the historical education of the general public.<\/p>\n
(3) The Society is ready to co-operate with persons and institutions pursuing the same aims, particularly in the fields of research into historical, geographical and political education.<\/p>\n
(3a)<\/p>\n
(I) The activities of the Association are not concerned with self-aggrandisement and do not exist to further the material interests of members.
\n(II) The resources of the Association may only be used for purposes sanctioned by the constitution. Members of the Association will not receive financial contributions from it.
\n(III) No person may be compensated for expenditure used contrary to the aims of the Association or for unreasonably high expenses.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Par. 4<\/p>\n
(1) The Board shall decide upon the admission of new members. Any candidate for membership whose application is rejected by the Board may appeal to the General Assembly.<\/p>\n
(2) Unless there are quite exceptionally pressing circumstances, any member who has to be reminded twice that he has not paid his subscription during two consecutive years, shall cease to be a member. The cost of having to send reminders will also be charged to him.<\/p>\n

II ORGANISATION<\/strong><\/p>\n Par. 5<\/p>\n The Society’s institutions shall be the General Assembly and the Board.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Par. 6<\/p>\n (1) The General Assembly shall decide upon the cost of subscriptions and upon matters concerned with the regulations. It shall also discharge the old Board and elect the new Board from which the President and Vice-President of the Society are drawn. (1) The Board shall consist of seven members. No nation may occupy the majority of places on the Board. <\/p>\n Par. 8<\/p>\n The Society shall be based in the same town in which the President is employed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Agreed in Tutzing, 4.3.1980 Comments:<\/p>\n * the intention of the section \u2018Entitled to Income Tax Relief’ incorporates the regulations of the Federal German Republic. MITGLIEDSCHAFT UND ZWECK<\/p>\n \u00a7 1<\/p>\n (1) Die INTERNATIONALE GESELLSCHAFT F\u00dcR GESCHICHTSDIDAKTIK ist ein Zusammenschluss von Geschichtsdidaktikern an Hochschulen und wissenschaftlich arbeitenden Dozenten, die vornehmlich in der Geschichtslehrerausbildung und -fortbildung t\u00e4tig sind. \u00a7 2<\/p>\n Die Realisierung der Ziele der Gesellschaft findet vornehmlich in Form von Projekten statt. Solche Projekte k\u00f6nnen sein: h) Mithilfe beim Aufbau nationaler und regionaler geschichtsdidaktischer Gruppen; \u00a7 3<\/p>\n (1) Zur Verwirklichung dieser Ziele sucht die INTERNATIONALE GESELLSCHAFT F\u00dcR GESCHICHTSDIDAKTIK die Zusammenarbeit mit allen wissenschaftsf\u00f6rdernden Institutionen. Sie erstrebt die Zuziehung von Geschichtsdidaktikern als Gutachter f\u00fcr die Beurteilung von Zuschussantr\u00e4gen und bem\u00fcht sich um Drittmittel f\u00fcr die Durchf\u00fchrung ihrer Projekte. \u00a7 4<\/p>\n (1) \u00dcber die Aufnahme neuer Mitglieder entscheidet der Vorstand. Im Falle der Ablehnung eines Aufnahmeantrages hat der Abgelehnte die M\u00f6glichkeit, an die Mitgliederversammlung zu appellieren. II. ORGANE<\/p>\n \u00a7 5<\/p>\n Organe der Gesellschaft sind die Mitgliederversammlung und der Vorstand.<\/p>\n \u00a7 6<\/p>\n (1) Die Mitgliederversammlung beschlie\u00dft \u00fcber Satzungsfragen und den Beitrag; sie entlastet den alten Vorstand und w\u00e4hlt den neuen Vorstand und aus ihm die beiden Vorsitzenden. \u00a7 7<\/p>\n (1) Der Vorstand besteht aus 7 Personen. \n(2) The Board shall convene the General Assembly every two or three years preferably in conjunction with an important academic conference.
\n(3) The General Assembly shall be competent to pass resolutions if 25% of the members are present. Additionally, postal votes, addressed to the President, are permissible.
\n(4) A two-third majority of all is members shall be required for the dissolution of the Society. Members who are unable to attend the General Assembly may submit a postal vote.
\n(5) If the Association is dissolved or ceases to exist or if is declares purposes cease to be applicable, the monies of the Association shall become the property of the International Red Cross. **

\n(2) The General Assembly shall elect the Board members after a period of no more than four years. Re-election is permissible.
\n(3) The General Assembly shall elect from among the members of the Board, the President, who is responsible for the Society’s external relations, and the Vice-President, who supports the President and deputizes for him\/her as necessary.
\n(4) The elections under 2. and 3. may be arranged by correspondance. In this occasion the votes ought to be send to the person who beforehand is choosen to be the leader of the election.<\/p>\n

\n** there for an Association which receives preferential treatment for taxation purposes.<\/p>\nSATZUNG DER INTERNATIONALEN GESELLSCHAFT F\u00dcR GESCHICHTSDIDAKTIK<\/h3>\n
\n(1a) Die Gesellschaft verfolgt ausschlie\u00dflich und unmittelbar gemeinn\u00fctzige Zwecke.*
\n(2) Die Gesellschaft will die Didaktik der Geschichts als wissenschaftliche Disziplin ausbauen helfen durch internationalen Austausch der Lehrenden sowie bibliographischer Informationen, fachlicher Daten und Meinungen, von Unterrichtsmedien, Lehrpl\u00e4nen und Erfahrungen.<\/p>\n
\na) Tagungen unterschiedlicher, auch regionaler Zielsetzung;
\nb) Herausgabe von \u201eMitteilungen\u201c und Mitarbeit an daf\u00fcr offenen wissenschaftlichen Zeitschriften;
\nc) Herausgabe einer internationalen Bibliographie \u00fcber Publikationen, Lehrpl\u00e4ne und Lehrmittel;
\nd) Herausgabe eines Internationalen Handbuches der Geschichtsdidaktik;
\ne) Internationaler Austausch von Geschichtsdidaktikern, besonders des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses;
\nf) Vermittlung internationaler Partnerschaften zwischen einzelnen Institutionen der Mitgliedsl\u00e4nder, auch Austausch von Lehrveranstaltungen und Entwicklung gemeinsamer Lehrveranstaltungsprogramme;
\ng) Errichtung eines Dokumentationszentrums;<\/p>\n
\ni) Anregung und Unterst\u00fctzung fachdidaktischer Forschungsprojekte.<\/p>\n
\n(2) Sie sucht die Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Institutionen, mit Fachverb\u00e4nden und zust\u00e4ndigen staatlichen Stellen mit dem Ziel einer Verbesserung geschichtsdidaktischer Forschung, Lehre und Fortbildung im universit\u00e4ren und im au\u00dferuniversit\u00e4ren Bereich und der F\u00f6rderung von Geschichtsunterricht und au\u00dferschulischer geschichtlicher Bildung.
\n(3) Die Gesellschaft ist offen f\u00fcr Zusammenarbeit mit allen verwandten Bestrebungen, insbesondere im Bereich geschichtswissenschaftlicher Forschung und der politischen und geographischen Ausbildung und Erziehung.
\n(3a) (1) Die Gesellschaft ist selbstlos t\u00e4tig und verfolgt keine eigenwirtschaftlichen Zwecke.
\n(2) Die Mittel der Gesellschaft d\u00fcrfen nur f\u00fcr satzungsgem\u00e4\u00dfe Zwecke verwendet werden. Die Mitglieder der Gesellschaft erhalten keine Zuwendungen aus Mitteln der Gesellschaft.
\n(2) Keine Person darf durch Ausgaben, die dem Zweck der Gesellschaft fremd sind, oder durch unverh\u00e4ltnism\u00e4\u00dfig hohe Verg\u00fctung beg\u00fcnstigt werden.<\/p>\n
\n(2) Wer ohne zwingende Notwendigkeit den von der Mitgliederversammlung beschlossenen Beitrag trotz zweimaliger Erinnerung \u00fcber zwei Jahre hinweg nicht bezahlt, dessen Mitgliedschaft gilt als erloschen. Zahlungserinnerungen sind geb\u00fchrenpflichtig.<\/p>\n
\n(2) Sie soll vom Vorstand zwei Monate im voraus mit Angabe der Tagesordnung jedes zweite oder dritte Jahr einberufen werden, in der Regel im Zusammenhang mit einer gr\u00f6\u00dferen wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltung.
\n(3) Die Mitgliederversammlung ist beschlussf\u00e4hig, wenn mindestens 25% der Mitglieder anwesend sind. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sind schriftliche Voten m\u00f6glich; sie sind an den Vorsitzenden zu richten.
\n(4) Zu einer Aufl\u00f6sung der Gesellschaft bedarf es der Zweidrittelmehrheit aller ihrer Mitglieder, die, soweit sie bei der Mitgliederversammlung nicht anwesend sind, in diesem Falle ihre Stimme schriftlich abgeben k\u00f6nnen.
\n(5) Bei Aufl\u00f6sung oder Aufhebung der Gesellschaft oder bei Wegfall ihres bisherigen Zweckes f\u00e4llt das Verm\u00f6gen der Gesellschaft an das Internationale Rote Kreuz.**<\/p>\n
\n(2) Der Vorstand wird sp\u00e4testens nach vier Jahren von der Mitgliederversammlung neu gew\u00e4hlt. Wiederwahl ist m\u00f6glich.
\n(3) Aus dem Vorstand w\u00e4hlt die Mitgliederversammlung den Ersten Vorsitzenden, der die Gesellschaft auch nach au\u00dfen hin vertritt, und den zweiten Vorsitzenden, der den Ersten Vorsitzenden unterst\u00fctzt und im Verhinderungsfall vertritt.
\n(4) Die Wahlen unter (2) und (3) k\u00f6nnen auf Beschluss des Vorstandes als Briefwahl erfolgen. In diesem Falle sind die Voten an den vom Vorstand bestimmten Wahlleiter zu senden.<\/p>\n

\n* im Sinne des Abschnitts Steuerbeg\u00fcnstigte Zwecke der Abgabenordnung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland
\n** also an eine steuerbeg\u00fcnstigte K\u00f6rperschaft, d.h. an das Deutsche Rote Kreuz mit der Auflage zur Weiterleitung an das internationale Komitee des Roten Kreuzes.<\/p>\n
