The ISHD has 209 members (as of Sept 2025), including three member organizations. Our members come from Argentina, Austria, Austrialia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finnland, Germany, Great Britain, Greek, Holland, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey, and the United States of America.
You are very welcome to become a member of the society if you are a
- researcher/scholar in the field of history didactics or a closely related field
- researcher/scholar working in pre-service or in-service training of history teachers
- history teacher with a commitment to, and experience of research and scholarship in the field of history didactics.
